Great to announce that the Council of Lefkada Municipality recently approved a budget of 460,000 euros for a project to install two new undersea water pipelines in Kalamos and Kastos Islands. We hope that the two new pipelines Mytikas-Kalamos and Kalamos-Kastos will solve for ever the problems of water supply from which the two islands suffered all these years , specially in the summer time which is the most critical period of the year.
We also wish the water to be not only for usage, but also suitable for drinking, so people will stop buying and carrying bottled waters everyday from the mainland.
